Our guys were in the head of the peloton while chasing the first group and later on we’ve brought up Roman Maikin to the front. He managed to get a good position before the final sprint and took an advantage of the situation. Visconti attacked, Roman was able to answer him and took the stage. We are very glad with this win, boys worked great».

«Despite the extreme heat, I felt myself really good. I understood that this stage profile fits me well and I know how to tackle the uphill finish. So the main goal was to be at the front in the finale and keep an eye on the rivals. I managed to follow Visconti attack and outsprinted him on the final meters. I am very happy, thanks to the team! It was great!», – Roman Maikin said.

This win in Auzances became second Roman’s win this season. It was gained in the same style as the first one within the severe bunch sprint.
