Gazprom-RusVelo: World Cup’s gold medal in Hong Kong

Riders of Gazprom-RusVelo who performed, as a part of the Russian national team, won three medals on the Hong Kong World Cup, including the only gold obtained by a Russian team.

Anastasia Voinova and Daria Shmeleva won the sprint race with a time 33,035, once again demonstrating their capabilities and making hope also in view of the Olympics in Rio. Voinova and Shmeleva were even faster in qualifying, with a good 32,839.

The busy schedule of races has not prevented Anastasia Voinova, an hour after winning the gold medal, to win the bronze medal in the individual sprint.

Third step of the podium for the men’s sprint. Russian team, which finished with a 43 910, consisted of Gazprom-RusVelo riders Denis Dmitriev and Nikita Shurshin, with a Paul Yakushevsky.

Victor Manakov and Kirill Sveshnikov were fifths in the team pursuit, with Manakov involved in the Omnium.
