That’s what Russian national champion Alexander Porsev said after his victory: “Honestly, I haven’t realized that I am the national champion yet. Throughout the whole race a competition was very intense and I gave it all to succeed. Without the superb efforts of the whole squad this victory and silver medal won’t be possible. Of course, it feels great to become a national champion and to bring such an important win for the team and our sponsor”.

The silver medalist Artem Nych also shared his emotions: “We are very glad to take over the victory and second place in the national championship. Even though the route seemed not really challenging, race went in a very high tempo with numerous attacks and no time for recovery. Fortunately, I had good legs and managed to clinch a podium. On the final laps we successfully used our numerical advantage, which resulted in a well-deserved victory and my second place. Also I would like to note a great organization of the competition, everything turned out perfectly”.
