General Manager of Gazprom – RusVelo summed up the results and reflected on changes in track team for the next season: “The Russian National track team as always showed an astonishing result. The men’s trio (Dmitriev, Perkins and Yakushevskiy) made their debut in Chile and the first place with national record says it all. In close cooperation with the Russian Cycling Federation, we will continue developing the track unit. This year we have already signed Shane Perkins and at the moment we are negotiating about Pavel (Yakushevskiy). We believe that this powerful trio is able to prevail in prestigious international competitions representing both Gazprom – RusVelo and Russian National team.”
