Gazprom — RusVelo brings experienced squad for Eschborn-Frankfurt
The inception of the German race dates back to 1962 and throughout history it has become one of the most prestigious professional cycling contests in Germany. As a result, last year Eschborn-Frankfurt became a part of the UCI World Tour. This year it will be the 57th edition of the race, which features a more challenging route with more than 3500 meters in elevation on the 212,5 kilometres of the total distance.
General Manager of Gazprom — RusVelo Renat Khamidulin assumes Artem Nych, who was seventh in the GC at the Tour of Croatia is able to confront the strongest contenders: “Eschborn-Frankfurt is one of the most crucial races in our calendar. Every HC or WT race is a great opportunity for our riders to test themselves and to compete with the strongest teams in order to build self-confidence. At the moment, Artem Nych and Sergey Firsanov are in good shape and I am sure they are set up to fight for the highest positions”.
